George L. Lankford

George Lankford has represented clients in insurance coverage and bad faith disputes from the trial courts of Texas to the Supreme Court of Texas for 30 years. His experience has included a wide range of coverage disputes, including first party personal and commercial property, liability, business interruption, environmental, and copyright infringement. The matters  have included coverage (duty to defend and/or duty to indemnify), agent errors and omissions, adjuster mistakes, loss control issues, proper cancellation and reinstatement of coverage under state codes, surplus lines regulations, Stowers, and coverage under multiple coverages.

His appellate experience begins even farther back when he served as a briefing attorney for the Chief Justice of the Eastland Court of Appeals early in his career. His third party defense practice has included construction defect cases involving residential housing, commercial buildings, and skyscrapers. Other defense cases have included wrongful death, trucking accidents, insurance agent errors and omissions, home inspector errors and omissions, property management company negligence, products liability, premises liability, and commercial business disputes. George’s attention to detail has enabled him to identify the favorable end result and how to manage the details of each case to get to that result in a number of complex, multi-party litigation areas.

George and his wife have two sons, and their family includes three generations of Eagle Scouts. When not practicing law, George is active in his church and the Boy Scouts on the unit, district and council levels.
